Position: Design and Technology Teacher Location: Farnborough, Hampshire Start Date: September 2024 Contract Type: Full-Time, Longer-Term with Potential Transition to Temp to Perm

About the Role: As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring and nurturing the next generation of designers, engineers, and innovators. You'll have the opportunity to teach across the age and attainment range at both Key Stage 3 and 4, fostering creativity and practical skills in a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Create a stimulating curriculum that encourages exploration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  • Utilize modern teaching techniques and resources to enhance student learning and engagement.
  • Support students in developing practical skills across a range of design and technology disciplines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote cross-curricular learning opportunities and enrichment activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (for experienced teachers).
  • For ECTs qualifying this year and unqualified teachers: encouragement to apply, as support and mentorship will be provided.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Design and Technology education.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Safer Recruitment in Education check will be required for successful candidates.
