English Literature Teacher Expiring soon

A successful and supportive school is seeking a part-time English Teacher to join their well-established English department from January until the end of the academic year to cover maternity leave. You’ll be teaching up to KS5, inspiring students with a passion for literature, language, and communication.

English Literature Teacher responsibilities:

• Teach English across KS3–KS5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons
• Plan, prepare, and mark work in line with curriculum requirements
• Foster a love of literature and language, encouraging analytical and creative thinking
• Monitor and report on student progress
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental resources and teaching strategies

English Literature Teacher requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or similar recognised in the UK
• Experience teaching English up to KS5
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for literature and language
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
• Available 3 days per week
