Join the English department of a large secondary school in Bury, graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted, supporting pupils aged 11-16.

  • Full-time English teacher.
  • Required from September 2020 on an ongoing basis
  • Paid to teaching scale point (£24,373 - £40,490).
  • Teaching a full English timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE level.
  • Full planning and marking responsibilities.
  • Expected to deliver differentiated English lessons to meet the needs of pupils at varying levels of learning ability.

Our client secondary school have had a restructure within their English department and are looking for an additional English teacher. The school is known for its welcoming staff and successful behaviour policies and has been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted for several years.

To be considered for this position, you must hold experience teaching English up to GCSE level alongside QTS. Both experienced and newly qualified English teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.

The school is located in Bury and can be accessed via the M66/A56 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Rochdale. The school is also close by to several public transport routes from neighbouring area.
