Our partner secondary school situated in the Altrincham area is looking to recruit an English teacher to start with them in September at the beginning of the new academic year. The successful English teacher is required to cover a maternity leave which is due to begin within the first month of the new academic year. There is likely to be a phased exit of the current teacher but due to the uncertainty, the successful English teacher is required from 2nd September 2021.
As an English teacher, teaching at this excellent secondary school you will be require to teach up to GCSE level in both English Language and English Literature. The is opportunity for the appointed English teacher to also have input on the Literacy Intervention within this school given the vacant position being left. Any experience of supporting low ability students or stretching higher attainers is highly desirable and should be highlighted on any relevant application.
