Are you passionate about English Language and Literature? Based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire? TP Tutors is looking for dedicated tutors to support local secondary school students as they prepare for their GCSE English exams. If you have a strong background in English and a desire to help students succeed, we'd love to hear from you.

Position: GCSE English Tutor
Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire (in-person and remote options available)

About the Role
As an English Tutor, you will deliver focused, personalised sessions to secondary school students, helping them build confidence and improve their understanding of both English Language and Literature. You'll use engaging teaching methods to simplify complex ideas and prepare students for exam success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored one-to-one or small group lessons.

  • Help students strengthen reading, writing, and analytical skills.

  • Break down key texts and exam techniques in accessible ways.

  • Provide regular feedback to parents and schools on student progress.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE English Language and/or Literature.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a clear, engaging teaching style.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate learners.

  • A degree in English or Education is desirable but not essential.

  • Reliability, patience, and a genuine passion for student success.
