As an English Teacher, you'll play a key role in shaping confident communicators and thoughtful readers. You'll deliver inspiring lessons that bring literature and language to life, foster independent thought, and help students excel in their GCSEs and beyond.

  • Plan and teach creative, challenging lessons in line with the national English curriculum

  • Foster a classroom environment where discussion, debate, and critical thinking thrive

  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs

  • Support literacy development across the curriculum

  • Contribute to departmental planning, extracurricular activities, and whole-school initiatives

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English language and literature

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
