Smile Education are currently recruiting for an English Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school based between Lichfield and Burton-on-Trent.
This is a part-time opportunity, working Mondays and Tuesdays until Christmas, with the possibility of the role continuing into the new year. The successful candidate will primarily teach KS3 English, with some KS4 teaching available depending on experience.
The school has an excellent reputation and was rated Outstanding by Ofsted last year. It is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where students are encouraged to achieve their personal best.
The Role:
- Teaching English across KS3, with some KS4 depending on experience
- Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
- Supporting students to develop their literacy, confidence and subject knowledge
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement
- Building positive relationships with students and staff
- Working collaboratively as part of a supportive English department
The Ideal Candidate:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
- Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A passion for English and helping students achieve their potential
- Reliable, professional and able to commit to Mondays and Tuesdays
- Able to travel to the school between Lichfield and Burton-on-Trent
Working Hours: 9:00am – 3:40pm
Days: Monday and Tuesday
Duration: Until Christmas, with the possibility of continuation
