- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Maths lessons across the secondary age range.
- Adapt teaching and learning to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
- Maintain high expectations of student achievement, behaviour, and engagement.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to make Maths accessible, engaging, and challenging.
- Establish positive relationships with students and promote a supportive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the wider Maths department and school community.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to assessment and reporting processes.
- Support students in developing confidence, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude towards Mathematics.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification is desirable.
- A strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.
- Previous experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
