Primary schools across Southampton are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to join their teams from October on a part-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified teachers looking for flexible, part-time work while making a positive impact in the classroom. Opportunities are available across a range of supportive and welcoming primary school settings, including regular class teaching and PPA cover.

The Role

As a Part-Time Primary Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons across the primary age range
  • Provide high-quality PPA cover across different year groups where required
  • Plan and adapt learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, staff, and parents
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress where appropriate
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A flexible, proactive, and positive approach
  • Confidence teaching across a range of primary year groups
  • A passion for teaching and supporting children's development
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a school team
