We are seeking an English Teacher to join us in the Burnley (BB12) area on a part-time basis from September 2022.

We are a caring school with high academic expectations and excellent pastoral care underpinned by a very strong ethos of FAMILY. We provide a curriculum that is both creative, challenging and innovative as we are dedicated to enabling our students to become global citizens who leave our school well-prepared for the working world into which they will enter.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be confident teaching classrooms of up to 30 students, with students of all learning abilities
  • Have specialist subject knowledge in English Language and English Literature
  • Be hardworking, personable and adaptable
  • Be able to work productively as part of a team, as well as individually
  • Have excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Work with a resourceful and skillful team, with a supportive senior leadership team

The successful English Teacher must have QTS, recent English teaching experience and the availability to commit to a full-time teaching role. The length of this role is provisionally from September 2022 to July 2023.
